After 11 straight days crews have finished work on a landslide that closed Interstate 65 northbound between Hartselle and Priceville.

Alabama Department of Transportation crews removed barricades around 3:30PM Thursday afternoon.

Iafrate Construction Company spent Thursday clearing out equipment and sweeping up along the landslide location.

The $2.1 million ALDOT issued emergency contract was completed four days shy of the February 26 deadline. That means a $400,000 completion bonus for the Iafrate company.

It took 36,500 tons of rock to repair the landslide.
