Huntsville Police have a man in custody at the intersection of Drake Avenue and Patton Road. They caught him shortly after 2:30 p.m. and say he rammed at least three patrol cars.

Police say a citizen called 911 about 2:20 p.m. and said someone driving a maroon or red Chevrolet truck was driving recklessly.  Officers responded to the area and quickly spotted the driver.

Initially, police thought the truck was stolen, but later determined that not to be the case.

Spokesperson Harry Hobbs says the driver kept going and rammed three patrol cars during the chase.  He wrecked on Patton Road, south of Drake Avenue.  Officers caught him there.

Paramedics took the man to Huntsville Hospital for evaluation.
