The Marshall County Sheriff’s Office has arrested an Albertville man for kidnapping and assault.  Jonathan Lee Cranford is being held in the Marshall County Jail.

Deputies arrested Cranford at his home on Sunday morning.  He lives at 5575 Alabama Highway 75 North.

Deputies had two warrants charging Cranford with first-degree kidnapping and second-degree assault.  They also found methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in Cranford’s home.

Sheriff Scott Walls said Cranford held a woman against her will for four days at his home and assaulted her before she was able to get away.

The crime happened in late 2011.  Due to the nature of the crime, Sheriff Walls said the woman did not immediately report it.
