Tim Kelly produces WHNT News 19 at 9:00 p.m. three nights a week. He also produces our weekend newscasts.

Tim was born in Chicago, but moved to Huntsville at just two years old. After graduating from Huntsville High School, Tim went on to Auburn University, where he graduated with a degree in Mass Communications in 2008.

Tim loves the Chicago Cubs, which gives him a cynical sense of humor he occasionally parlays into stand-up comedy. He's got a great sense of humor and keeps us laughing constantly.

    HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Huntsville Police are investigating an armed robbery to a cab driver late Sunday night. Around 11:15 the cab driver went to Creek Bend Apartments on Venona Drive to pick up a fare.  That’s when two men came up and took the driver’s money.  One of the men was carrying a handgun.     HUNTSVILLE, Ala (WHNT) – The Huntsville Police Department is investigating a stabbing that happened around 11:30 Tuesday night in North Huntsville.     Huntsville Police Searching for Suspect in Late Night Shooting

    Huntsville Police officers are at 914 Linwood Drive, just north of Holmes Avenue. That’s where one person was shot multiple times.  The victim says he walked out his door and was shot. HEMSI Paramedics transported the victim to Huntsville Hospital in serious condition.     Crews Respond to House Fire in Huntsville

    HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – The Huntsville Fire Department responded to a house fire at the corner of Nottingham Lane and Todd Mill Road near Weatherly Drive early Thursday morning. Just before 1:00, a driver saw flames coming from the home and called 911.  When firefighters arrived at the South Huntsville home, flames were shooting 20-30 feet through the roof.  Crews immediately called in a second alarm, bringing in an extra truck to help battle the fire.   • Crews Battle Trailer Fire in Elkmont

    ELKMONT, Ala. (WHNT) — Just after 1:30 this morning crews responded to a trailer fire on Coffman Road in Elkmont. 18 firefighters from Piney Chapel and Owens Volunteer Fire Departments battled the blaze.  It took them roughly an hour to put out the fire. The home is a complete loss.  There was nobody living in the trailer at the time, but it did have power. Investigators are looking into what caused the fire.

  • Fire Kills Woman in North Huntsville

    HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — A woman died early Thursday morning after her home caught fire.  Huntsville firefighters responded to an emergency call around 2:00 a.m., on a report that a home in the 4000 block of Glendale Lane was on fire.  Witnesses who called the fire department told authorities they could see flames coming from the home.     HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Huntsville Police are investigating an armed robbery to the Burger King on Whitesburg Drive near Governors Drive. According to the police, the employees saw the man fall down outside the door and saw his gun.  They locked him out, and the suspect ran away.     Multiple Crews Fight House Fire

    HAZEL GREEN, Ala. (WHNT) – Volunteer firefighters from four departments responded to a house fire in the 1700 block of Bobo Section Road. Around 10:30 Tuesday evening volunteer firefighters from Bobo, assisted by crews form Toney, Hazel Green and Meridianville, responded to the blaze. Two adults were displaced because of the fire, but nobody was home when it began. It took two hours to get the fire under control.  The home is a complete loss.

    Update: Fourth Person Arrested Following Meth Bust Where Children Were Present

    HARTSELLE, Ala. (WHNT) – A fourth suspect in a methamphetamine bust is now in custody. Morgan County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Kimberly Roshell Lambert on Wednesday night during a traffic stop.  They say they received several tips about her location during the day. The bust happened Tuesday in the Hartselle area.  Around 5 p.m. that day, agents executed a search warrant at 48 Terry Road.  They obtained the warrant after receiving numerous complaints about the residence, with children being present.     Huntsville Police Investigating Fatal Shooting

    Huntsville Police are investigating a shooting at the intersection of 6th Avenue and 4th Street near Triana Boulevard. One person was killed in the incident when the gunman shot into the car the victim was driving.
