    Wish to Ride a Unicorn Over the Rainbow Granted for 1st Grader with Cancer

    PARK HILLS, MO – A Missouri first grader got her wish to ride over a rainbow on a unicorn in front of her entire school last week. Summer Warren is 7, and has an inoperable cancer wrapped around her brain stem.     GREAT VIDEO: One-Armed Student Sinks Half-Court Shot

    ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – This is cool – a one-armed student at Saint Louis University High School sunk a half court shot during a recent game to win $100. The best part, he donated the money to breast cancer research. Max Bredenkoetter made the shot on February 21 during the “Paint It Pink” game.  He won the hearts of the crowd for certain. Check out the announcer’s pink suit too.  Pretty cool!

    UPDATE: Missing Section Woman in DeKalb County Jail

    SECTION, Ala. (WHNT) – It turns out a Section woman isn’t missing after all.  Linda Sherea Justice is actually in a nearby jail. The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office reported Justice missing earlier Tuesday morning.  She hadn’t been seen for a few days.     MENTONE, Ala. (WHNT) – The Mentone Springs Hotel and adjoining White Elephant Antiques Store was destroyed by fire Saturday, March 1.     Russellville Man Accused of Sexually Abusing Child

    RUSSELLVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Franklin County authorities have arrested a man accused of sexually abusing a child under the age of 12. According to Sheriff Shannon Oliver, 41-year-old Pedro Rocha was arrested after investigators say he molested the daughter of a family friend. Investigators say the Russellville man would make the girl watch pornography while he touched the girl inappropriately. Authorities believe the abuse had been going on since August of 2013.     Lauderdale County Man Pleads Guilty to Sexual Abuse

    KILLEN, Ala. (WHNT) – A Lauderdale County man has pleaded guilty after his 2013 indictment for charges of rape and domestic violence. According to courthouse officials, 67-year-old Tollie Michael entered a guilty plea to sexual abuse. Michael, of Killen, was accused of attacking and raping a family member inside his home in November of 2012. In the plea agreement, Michael was given credit for time served and ordered to be on an ankle monitor for nine months. Michael must also […]

    HOUSTON, Texas (KHOU) – An injured dog didn’t stand a chance on a busy freeway in Texas until a good Samaritan pulled over to help. Rickey Young was in his truck when he heard reports warning drivers about a dog in the freeway. Young was nearby and went to the area to check on the dog.
