    SECTION, Ala. (WHNT) – It turns out a Section woman isn’t missing after all.  Linda Sherea Justice is actually in a nearby jail. The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office reported Justice missing earlier Tuesday morning.  She hadn’t been seen for a few days.     Road Work to Start Monday to Replace Narrow Bridges on Old Madison Pike

    HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Drivers have fought the bottleneck for years, demanding improvements to widen Old Madison Pike between Slaughter Road and Cummings Research Park.     Russellville Man Accused of Sexually Abusing Child

    RUSSELLVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Franklin County authorities have arrested a man accused of sexually abusing a child under the age of 12. According to Sheriff Shannon Oliver, 41-year-old Pedro Rocha was arrested after investigators say he molested the daughter of a family friend. Investigators say the Russellville man would make the girl watch pornography while he touched the girl inappropriately. Authorities believe the abuse had been going on since August of 2013.     Lauderdale County Man Pleads Guilty to Sexual Abuse

    KILLEN, Ala. (WHNT) – A Lauderdale County man has pleaded guilty after his 2013 indictment for charges of rape and domestic violence. According to courthouse officials, 67-year-old Tollie Michael entered a guilty plea to sexual abuse. Michael, of Killen, was accused of attacking and raping a family member inside his home in November of 2012. In the plea agreement, Michael was given credit for time served and ordered to be on an ankle monitor for nine months. Michael must also […]

    HOUSTON, Texas (KHOU) – An injured dog didn’t stand a chance on a busy freeway in Texas until a good Samaritan pulled over to help.     Madison City Schools Issue Resolution Denouncing Common Core Attacks

    MADISON, Ala. (WHNT) – The Madison Board of Education held a special called meeting Friday morning and passed a resolution to denounce legislative attempts to repeal or unravel Common Core educational standards most states are implementing to raise educational standards, including Alabama.
