    GADSDEN, Ala. (WHNT) – The Etowah County Sheriff’s Office needs your help in finding an escaped inmate. Deputies say 46 year old Vincente Castaneda escaped from the Etowah County Detention Center early Saturday morning. They say he was a working in the kitchen and escaped from the gate nearby. Deputies believe Castaneda took off his jail clothing because they found the pants and shirt shortly after he escaped.   • Shots Fired Into Occupied Apartment In Huntsville

    HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Police in Huntsville responded to a call of shots fired into an apartment located on the 1500 block of Beard Street. Police say the victim told them he was sitting on his porch when he saw two males shooting at each other. The victim then told police one of the bullets entered his apartment where his daughter and great nephew were at the time. Police said there were no injuries.

    HARVEST, Ala. (WHNT) –  The crowd came alive at the Huntsville Dragway Saturday night. Promoters held the 18th Annual Old School and Blues Festival. The festival started at noon and ended a little before 10 p.m. last night. The 18th Annual Old School and Blues Festival featured artist like Cherelle, Mystikal, and Maze featuring Frankie Beverly. The organizers believe 15-thousand people attended.

    HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Police in Huntsville say a robbery led to a shot fired into an occupied apartment. Police say three men were outside their apartment when three males armed with guns approached them and demanded property.     HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) –  Police in Huntsville responded to a late night call about shots fired into an occupied car. Police say a woman was driving on Mastin Lake Road when an unknown person shot into her car. Police found a bullet hole in the passenger side window frame as well as the driver’s door. No one was hurt.

    Police Responded To A Cutting In Huntsville

    HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Police in Huntsville responded to a cutting that sent one man to the emergency room. Police arrived at the 2500 block of 15th street around 1:30 a.m. Police say when they made contact with the victim, he told them he and Raquil Bridges were arguing when she cut him. Raquil Bridges was arrested and transported to the Madison County Jail. The victim is expected to recover.

    Healthy Huntsville’s Super Saturday In The Park And Mayor’s Bike Ride Is Canceled

    HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Due to soggy weather moving into the Rocket City, the Mayor’s Bike Ride along with activities for Healthy Huntsville’s Super Saturday are canceled. Organizers say they are working to reschedule the bike ride for another date. The 5th annual Mayor’s Bike Ride, was originally scheduled for Saturday in downtown Huntsville. More Healthy Huntsville events are planned in the park the first Saturday of each month through October.
