    MADISON COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) – Huntsville Utilities reports power outages in several areas of Madison County. They tell us crews are working in Hazel Green to fix an outage in the area. That outage affects Spring Tanner Road, Tree Bark Trail, Gerald Drive and Mill Keys Road.     Volunteer Firefighters Respond to Wednesday Night House Fire

    HARVEST, Ala. (WHNT) -Several Volunteer Fire Departments responded to a structure fire on Salvia Court in Harvest at 9:15 Wednesday night. A woman was inside the home when the fire started.  Investigators believe she was asleep at the time. But she says her dog woke her when the fire started.  The woman got out of the house, but the dog did not make it. Harvest, Monrovia and Toney Fire & Rescue all responded to the fire.

  • Shots fired in Mason Court

    HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Huntsville police report someone fired shots in the 100 block of Mason Court. It happened around 4:30 this evening. Police say a woman told them her son was arguing with a group of men. Someone in that group fired a shot that went though the front door of her home. The group of men fled the scene after someone fired those shots. No one was injured. Police are still investigating this shooting.

    One Person Hospitalized After Hunter Ridge Apartment Fire

    HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – An apartment fire in the 4000 block of Hunters Ridge Drive sent one person to the hospital late Saturday night. Firefighters say fire and heavy smoke bellowed from the apartment and breezeway when they arrived on the scene. They cut power to the building while they put out the blaze.
