    UNA Police Investigating Armed Robbery on Campus

    An armed robber forced a victim into a car, then drive to an ATM and withdraw money, according to a post on the University of North Alabama Police Department’s Facebook page. The description of the robber is vague, but police say he had a black pistol.  Investigators say the robber was last seen leaving the university parking deck. UNA Police ask anyone with information to give them a call.

  • Two Die In Crash On Highway 231 In Arab

    Two people have died in a wreck in Arab. It happened at 7:45 on Highway 231 near Ragstone Drive. Crews on the scene tell WHNT News 19 that a Ford Mustang and another vehicle were racing northbound on 231 when a Toyota Corolla traveling southbound in a northbound lane collided head-on with the Mustang. Authorities say the other car kept going.   • Decatur Man Charged With Possession Of Child Porn

    Decatur Police officers checking up on registered sex offenders Monday arrest a man at his Clearview Street home.  Police say Melvin Don Tucker had in his possession obscene material showing children under 17 years old engaged in sexual acts. Tucker is being held under a $250,000 bond.
