Two juveniles accused of making terrorist threats against East Limestone High
LIMESTONE COUNTY, Ala. – Two juvenile students were arrested on Friday, accused of making terrorist threats against a school on social media.
Sheriff’s deputies say the threat was made against East Limestone High School.
Limestone County Superintendent Tom Sisk says that a student at East Limestone made threats against the school online and invited another student to help pull it off. In addition to being arrested, both students have been suspended until further notice. Expulsion is also possible. They will go through administrative proceedings to determine their fate.
Sisk says that every school has an armed deputy present and any threat to school safety is taken very seriously. He is thankful for the students that came forward and commends administrators for their swift reaction.
Sisk says students need to remember threats are not a game and will not be taken lightly.
