Auburn still fueled by week 2 loss to Clemson

AUBURN, Ala. (AL.com) - The word alone still stings Gus Malzahn when he hears it out loud.

It brings back bad memories for Malzahn and his Auburn team. Auburn's 14-6 loss in Death Valley was the team's lone loss of the year, and it still stings for those around the program, even a month later as Auburn has rebounded with four straight wins and cracked the AP top 10. It has also been a driving factor for the team's turnaround.

"When you bring up that name, it hurts to hear that," Malzahn said. "I know that it motivates our players and coaches."
