LIMESTONE COUNTY, Ala. – Investigators are looking into the cause of an early morning house fire.

Just after midnight, East Limestone volunteer firefighters were called to a home on Pine Drive near Jones Road, after numerous people called 911 to report a fire.

When crews arrived, they found a home that had been burning for some time. The roof had collapsed and the house was engulfed in flames.

Crews quickly determined the home had been intentionally set on fire.

It took about an hour to put out the fire. Pine Drive was blocked off during that time.

The home appears to have been vacant. Police have a name and are looking for a man who is accused of setting fire to the house.
