ATHENS, Ala. – A man from Athens was arrested today after allegedly setting fire to his residence, which belongs to his father-in-law, last night.

Fire crews work to put out an overnight house fire in Athens
The Limestone County Sheriff’s Office says that deputies responded to the residence on Pine Drive around midnight and fire departments were still working to put out the flames.
Authorities say there was no one in the home at the time of the fire.
A neighbor told investigators that 37-year-old Jonathan Estill and his wife lived there and that they had argued earlier in the evening.
The Huntsville Police Department later notified the Limestone County dispatch that they were in pursuit of a vehicle. The license plate matched the description of a vehicle authorities believed Estill to be driving, but the driver eluded police.
Authorities say that Estill turned himself in at the Limestone County Sheriff’s Office this morning.
Jonathan Paul Estill is currently being held in the Limestone County Jail on a $5000 bond. Estill is charged with 2nd degree Arson.
