Rosalie tornado victims identified, account established to help with funeral expenses

ROSALIE, Ala. – Thursday, the Jackson County Coroner identified the three people who died when an EF-3 tornado hit the town of Rosalie earlier this week.

Justin Wright, 26, April Wright, 22 and Jessica Fleming, 21, died when the storm lifted their mobile home near County Road 71.  The structure was destroyed, as were other nearby homes, a grocery store, a strip mall and nearby churches.

The Wrights were brother and sister, and Fleming was Justin’s girlfriend.

A gofundme account has been established for the Wrights.  Their mother, Cynthia, was injured and is still in the hospital.

The tornado hit the town just after midnight on Wednesday.  It traveled 1.7 miles and had estimated peak winds of 127 miles per hour, according to a National Weather Service survey team.  It then moved on to Ider and on to the Alabama/Georgia line.
