ARAB, Ala. - A Marshall County family is preparing to put their teenage daughter to rest.

16-year-old Calli Wilson died after she lost control of her car Saturday morning.

Police said it happened on Hulaco Road, two miles north of Arab.

Those who knew Wilson told WHNT News 19 she had the most giving heart. The 16-year-old worked at Kentucky Fried Chicken.

Instead of spending money on herself, she spent it on others.

She was a high school senior graduating early from her home school program.

Her friends from her co-op classes at Crossroads Christian Academy said Calli always joked around and made them happy when they were down.

Calli's family said nothing would make her happier than giving to others. That's why Crossroads Christian Academy established a scholarship fund in her memory.

Donations for the fund can be made at any Wells Fargo branch to the 'Calli Wilson Scholarship Fund'. The scholarship will go to a homeschooled senior every year.

Calli's funeral is Tuesday at 6 p.m. The service will be at the Heritage Funeral Home in Arab.
