Here is what we know so far. The bus wrecked just one day before the children were set to begin their Thanksgiving break. 35 Woodmore Elementary students were being transported at the time.

Preliminary reports indicate the bus hit a utility pole, flipped, and then wrapped around a tree.

Of the five children killed, three were in the fourth grade. One was a fifth grader. Another was a kindergarten student.

Six children remain in intensive care this evening.

Investigators continue to search for answers, using any evidence they can find from the debris.

According to an arrest affidavit, the school bus driver was going at a high speed when the bus crashed, killing five students and injuring multiple others.
