Jeremy Johnson to start at quarterback against Alabama A&M

AUBURN, Ala. (Al.com)- Sean White's shoulder injury will keep him out of Saturday's game with Alabama A&M, so Auburn is going with senior Jeremy Johnson at quarterback.

"Sean White has not practiced this week," Auburn head coach Gus Malzahn said Thursday night during his weekly radio appearance on Tiger Talk. "Sean won't play this week. Jeremy Johnson's going to start us out on Senior Day. I know our team's excited for him. He's excited... I'm excited for him. John Franklin will get a chance to do things too, but we're very excited for Jeremy. He'll be ready to go.

Johnson has not started a game since last year's Iron Bowl. He appeared in two games for Auburn this season — he went 4-for-6 for 38 yards and an interception against Clemson and entered the Mississippi State game for a play on special teams.
