To come along side of social media and the website, they just released a new app. The “Visit Florence AL” app was designed to be all-encompassing of the Shoals.

“The app is really all part of our greater digital marketing strategy, and that is to build more awareness for Florence and the Shoals area,” Carnegie explained.

Downloading the app will give tourists, even residents, a rundown of events in the Shoals and the some of the best places to visit.

Carnegie said a lot of thought went into the development, which took a couple of months to complete.

“We have to prioritize the fact that we’ve got to look at things and invest in things where we know people are going to be finding information,” said Carnegie.

And with lots of people spending hours on their smartphones, the Shoals is bound to benefit from the app.

You can download the “Visit Florence AL” app from Google Play and the Apple App Store.
