HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Drought conditions continue to be problematic across Alabama.

The ongoing drought conditions will be on the agenda when the Alabama Drought Assessment and Planning Team meet on Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Montgomery.

The organization is tasked with providing guidance to state officials on drought related issues and coordinate intergovernmental drought response.

State officials have added 12 south Alabama counties to the list of those under a drought emergency.

That means 58 of Alabama’s 67 counties are now under a drought emergency.
