Jemison wins, Lee Falls in Broadway Group high school basketball double header

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (al.com) - Greetings from the Von Braun Center in downtown Huntsville. Tonight was a treat for basketball fans as four state powers gathered for a doubleheader.

GAME TWO: Mae Jemison 57, Sacred Heart 53
Class 5A Mae Jemison closed with a 12-1 run to rally and beat two-time defending1A champion Sacred Heart.

Alabama signee John Petty finished with 19 points and 14 points, and Devonte Lanier added 17 points for the Jaguars (2-0), who trailed 52-45 in the fourth quarter. Lanier's jumper tied it 53-53. After a Sacred Heart defender tried to pick off a pass near midcourt, Petty delivered a pass to a wide-open Lanier under the basket for a dunk. Following a turnover, Lanier slammed home another dunk as time expired.
