Deadly Stabbing

Friday night, the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office and Henagar Police Department responded to a residence on Road 1945 in Henagar to a report that a man had been stabbed.  There investigators found 29-year-old Cody Earl Seegar of Summerville, Georgia, dead from a stab wound.  Witnesses say Seegar and another man, 48-year-old Anthony Tracy Shaw, came to the house to confront the homeowner following an argument that occurred earlier in the day.  Deputies say Seegar and Shaw broke into the home and began to assault the homeowner.  Deputies say the homeowner stabbed both Seegar and Shaw.  Emergency crews transported Shaw to Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga to be treated for his wounds. No arrests have been made.
