Early morning fire leaves family of six without a home, no injuries

DECATUR, Ala. — A house fire in Decatur early Friday morning has left a family of six without a home.

Battalion Chief Dusty Cheatham said Decatur fire and rescue teams were called to the corner of 2nd Street and 5th Ave. at around 12:30 a.m.

The home was already engulfed in flames upon their arrival. Fortunately, there were no injuries, but the home is completely destroyed.
