WARRIOR, Ala. - Alabama State Troopers have shut down Interstate 65 North at the Warrior exit due to fires that are burning along the highway Thursday afternoon, according to our news partners at AL.com.

Alabama Forestry Commission Spokeswoman Coleen Vansant said there are three separate fires at Kimberly, Hayden and Warrior. Crews have contained the Kimberly fire. They are trying to contain the fires at Warrior and Hayden.

Authorities have said that the fires were intentionally set.

Vansant is asking drivers to avoid the area if they can. Troopers are dealing with bumper-to-bumper traffic at the scene. Traffic is also very congested on Highway 31 in Warrior.
