MADISON, Ala. Members of our nation’s military, past and present, will gather on Friday for a special prayer breakfast in Madison.
The event takes place at 7:30 a.m. at the Hogan Family YMCA on Hughes Road.
This is the 11th for the event designed to use music and prayer to say thanks to our military men and women for their service to our country.
The theme for this year’s event is "Courage, Sacrifice and Duty, Honoring our Military Veterans."
The U.S. Army Materiel Command's "Arsenal brass" and Huntsville Fire and Rescue’s “The Fahrenheits” will provide the music.
Major General James Simpson, commanding general of the Army Contracting Command, will give the keynote address.
The YMCA is offering free admission to all veterans, those with a valid military ID, and their families from November 4 – 13.
The offer is valid at all YMCA branches.
