HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - Valley voters will join millions across the country, as they cast their ballots on Tuesday.

After recent claims of a rigged election, the Alabama Secretary of State wants to remind you that our voting system is secure. However, if you do witness something at the polls, there are ways to report it.

Secretary John Merrill tells WHNT News 19 anything you consider to be irregular, inconsistencies at the poll, or allegations of voter fraud must be reported to his office.

"Something that they consider to be irregular or have an allegation of voter fraud or inconsistencies at the poll," Secretary John Merrill said.

You can alert the office at StopVoterFraudNow.Com.

"It will be received in our office here, it will be documented, and we will begin an investigation as soon as possible," said Merrill.

However, if you have a concern that needs immediate attention on November 8th, you can call the Secretary of State's hotline at 334-242-7200.

While there's been many chaotic developments this election season, Merrill said those who work our elections are prepared.

"They have had extensive training operations for those polls workers and the administration. It's important to remember that all of that training will lead to a safe, secure, and credible election," Merrill said.
