Shevaun Bryan takes on new role at WHNT News 19 as weekend morning anchor
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – We’re excited to announce Shevaun Bryan has earned a well-deserved promotion! Starting tomorrow, Shevaun will anchor WHNT News 19 This Morning on Saturdays and Sundays.
Shevaun is a true team player and lights up our newsroom when she walks in. She’s got spirit and spunk and says she’s looking forward to this new venture.
“After working and living in north Alabama for more than two years, I’m so excited to help wake the Tennessee Valley up on Saturday and Sunday mornings,” said Bryan. “Our anchors maintain such a high standard for helping our viewers remain in the know and plan their weeks and weekends, I hope to become another face they can look to for everything they need to know on the weekend.”
Shevaun is a native of Miami, Florida and of Jamaican descent. She is a proud ‘Cane, graduating from the University of Miami in 2013. She joined our station in 2014. After reporting in Huntsville for more than a year, she took over the Decatur bureau to cover local news and issues in Morgan, Limestone and Lawrence counties.
“It’s been a blessing to share the stories of the Tennessee Valley for a couple of years. I look forward to being a part of the weekenders’ lives as I continue to tell stories during the week,” Bryan said.
“WHNT News 19 is such a great family. I’m honored to take on this opportunity and responsibility with a station that has given me so much. See you Saturday morning!”
