HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Two F15 jets executed an emergency landing at Huntsville International Airport Friday just before noon.

The jets were traveling from Seymour Johnson Air Force Base in North Carolina to Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas. A spokesperson from Seymour Johnson Air Force Base says the F15 jets fly in pairs. One of the jets experienced mechanical problems, forcing both jets to land in at Huntsville International Airport.

Air Force officials say they do not yet know what caused the mechanical issue. The jets landed safely and the crew members aboard are fine.
