KANSAS CITY, Mo. – From an adorable butterfly to cute crime fighters, the tiniest trick-or-treaters are getting a head start this Halloween.

March of Dimes volunteers made about 40 costumes for babies in the NICU Unit at Saint Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City.

Volunteers want to make sure families aren’t missing out on those “baby’s firsts” moments during the holidays, despite having to spend it in the hospital.

And parents were actually able to choose their babies’ costumes to match their personalities — so we’re betting this guy is a fighter!

The nurses and volunteers also made crocheted, candy filled pumpkins to go along with these teeny-tiny trick-or-treaters.

This Halloween celebration is already going over so well that the NICU staff is already planning Christmas ideas for the babies!
