HUNTSVILLE, Ala. —  Thursday afternoon in downtown Huntsville, a very special cause will be holding a special reading of “The Bear Ate Your Sandwich” at UG White on Clinton Avenue. But this event represents more than just a fun, shared reading experience.

Jumpstart’s Read for the Record is a national campaign that was launched over a decade ago to address the educational inequities that leave too many children unprepared for kindergarten. This campaign is the largest shared reading experience in the world!

Read for the Record through United Way of Madison County in Huntsville Alabama has a goal– they want 2,100 children to be reading at the same time throughout Madison County on Thursday, October 27th at 4 p.m.

This year, Downtown Huntsville Inc.’s Chad Emerson will be reading “The Bear Ate Your Sandwich”.

This event is free and open to the public, and starts promptly at 4 p.m.
