Shots fired at Alabama A&M University

NORMAL, Ala.- Alabama A&M University says shots were fired on Sunday night at around 10:30 pm on campus. According to the press release it happened at Thomas Hall, which houses mainly male students.

The college says no students were injured, and police believe the person responsible is a student from Mobile.

Junior Deneshia Crenshaw lives off campus, but found out about the shots being fired from a friend. She said normally all students would get a "Bulldog" notification about incidents, but didn't.

"They should have been notifying us as well ,because firearms are nothing to play with", Crenshaw said.

Lately, the shots fired have left Crenshaw thinking about her safety while on campus.

She said she will not walk at night and will only drive. She feels as though the campus isn't as safe as it was when she first started to attend Alabama A&M.
