National Planting Day

GUNTERSVILLE, Ala — To celebrate the fifth annual National Planting Day, the public is invited to volunteer  at Wyeth Park for community planting.

Join the City of Guntersville Horticulture Department and Keep Guntersville Beautiful Tuesday, October 25 at 2:30 p.m. to plant native species of plants in the park.

If you are not able to attend, people are encouraged to help by planting natives and other pollinators at home or by taking part in a gardening project with a friend.

Research shows that vibrant communities that pride themselves on beautiful, well-kept public spaces, neighborhoods and business districts are safer, have a higher quality of life, and attract more tourists and business development. Please support efforts to make beauty Guntersville’s lasting signature.
