SCOTTSBORO, Ala. –  The Jackson County Coalition Against Domestic Violence will be holding a candle light vigil tonight at 6 in the court-house gazebo downtown.  The event will feature an array of speakers and a memorial ceremony in memory of victims in the Jackson County area.

The coalition says it’s important to honor these victims and bring awareness to this issues.

“We cannot let these people have gone through what they’ve gone through and not be remembered,” says Linda Bray, chair of the Coalition.  “It also helps to call attention to the fact that it’s an ongoing problem. It’s something that happens everyday, all across Alabama and our country.”
