Super cool hidden features you might love in iOS 10
Most iPhone users have probably updated to iOS 10. They may not, however, have discovered some of the cool new features it contains.
From easier navigation to magnification, there’s a lot to explore in the newest version of Apple’s operating system.
Here are just a few of the hidden features you might enjoy:
Unlock your phone with Touch ID
The iPhone’s iconic “slide-to-unlock” feature has gone bye-bye. Now we just use the home button for pretty much everything. If you’re not a huge fan of the change and want to instead “rest” your finger on the home button to unlock your device, you can! Here’s what to do: Go to Settings, click General, Accessibility, then click on the Home Button and Rest Finger to Open.
Find your car, anywhere
A feature called “Show Parked Location” drops a pin on your car using Apple Maps. This nifty trick lets you get directions to your vehicle whenever you need it. Sound great? Here’s how to active: Clicking on Settings, then Maps. Then turn on the feature. You will also need to connect to your phone to your car’s Bluetooth or CarPlay stereo.
Enable your magnifying glass feature
Can’t see very well? Want to get a closer look at something? iOS 10’s new magnifying feature may help. Click on Settings, General, Accessibility and Turn Magnifier “On.” Once you’ve activated the option… just click your Home button three times and the feature will appear. Oh, and you can even take high-quality zoomed-in photos with it too!
