DECATUR, Ala. – The warden of the Morgan County Jail has been terminated.

Sheriff Ana Franklin relieved Leon Bradley of his duties last Thursday, October 13.

According to Morgan County Chief Deputy Mike Corley, Bradley has worked at the jail for 12 to 13 years.  His duties included being in charge of inmate programs, including GED education and outside churches coming in to minister to inmates, and recording of data and numbers that involve inmates.

Chief Deputy Corley will fill the role of warden until a new person is hired.  He said there is no time frame set to find a replacement.

Corley said he is confident nothing will change in the day-to-day operations of the jail.
