Motorcyclist killed in overnight wreck in Limestone County

LIMESTONE COUNTY, Ala. – A man is dead following an overnight motorcycle wreck in Limestone County.

Crews responded around 1 a.m. to the scene on Bethel Road just east of Jade Road.

Authorities say the motorcyclist struck a cow then went down a ravine.

A passerby saw smoke and called 911 thinking it was a grass fire.

The passerby went down to investigate and found the wrecked motorcycle.

A second helmet was found at the scene.

However, authorities have been unable to confirm if a second person was on the motorcycle at the time of the wreck.
