18-year-old struck on South Memorial Parkway suffers life-threatening injuries

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Huntsville police are investigating a crash involving a pedestrian that happened near Bojangles on South Memorial Parkway and Mountain Gap Road at about 8 p.m. on October 16.

Police said an 18-year-old man was struck while crossing the street by a vehicle traveling north on the Parkway.

The teen was transported to Huntsville Hospital with life threatening injuries. As of Monday morning, police said he is still in critical condition.

Police said the victim had no identification on his person but believe he was a customer at the Kangaroo service station.

The driver of the car was no injured and not charges are expected to be filed.
