Traffic Alert: New route for James Clemens homecoming parade to impact traffic in Madison

MADISON, Ala. — A celebration for students means a traffic alert for people in one of the most highly traveled areas in Madison.

The James Clemens High School homecoming parade gets underway on Thursday.

Parade participants will start lining up at 4 p.m. at Heritage Elementary School.  The parade is scheduled to start at 5:30 p.m. and continue south down County Line Road ending at James Clemens High School.


It’s important to note this is a new route for the parade this year.

Police officers will be conducting traffic control during this time on County Line Road between Mill and Browns Ferry Roads.

All side streets along with route will be temporarily closed.

Drivers are encouraged to use Wall Triana Highway, Hughes Road or Slaughter Road as alternate routes.
