FAYETTEVILLE, Tenn. — Several reports of car burglaries have occurred over the past month in the Tennessee Valley, but perhaps one of the more severe cases happened the morning of September 29, 2016.
Thursday morning, the Fayetteville Police Department responded to several calls reporting car burglaries in a subdivision in Fayetteville. Over 20 cars and trucks had been burglarized and vandalized.
Several of the victims reported items and money missing from their cars. Included in these burglaries was a Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department vehicle. A gun, tactical vest and other law enforcement-related items was reported taken from this vehicle.
Some of the burglarized cars were unlocked, but some had a window broken to make entry.
A reward of up to $3,000 is being offered for any information leading to an arrest in these cases.
