Student found dead in UAB residence hall
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – According to our news partners at AL.com, the University of Alabama at Birmingham police are investigating the death of a student who was living in Blount Hall on campus.
UAB Student Housing and Residential life identified the student as Molly Wilson.
She was found dead in the residential hall Friday evening, the cause of her death has not been released.
“We offer our deepest condolences to Molly’s family, friends and loved ones,”the department said in an email to residents of the dorm.”
According to the UAB website, students have to at least be a sophomore to live in Blount Hall.
A candlelight vigil to remember Wilson will be held today at 7 p.m. on the Green at UAB.
Counseling will be available to students.
