AUBURN, Ala. (al.com) - Auburn's most pressing concern on offense this week was clear: Improve red zone efficiency.
Prior to Saturday's 58-7 win over Louisiana-Monroe, Auburn's seven touchdowns in 22 red zone trips ranked 127th of 128 FBS programs. The Tigers failed to reach the end zone last week against LSU after reaching the 20-yard line six times, and had to rely on the steady foot of Daniel Carlson for an 18-13 upset.
With Auburn offensive coordinator Rhett Lashlee calling the plays again, the Tigers fared much better against ULM by scoring four touchdowns in five trips to the Warhawks red zone.
