Huntsville Police investigate shooting on 10th Ave.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Police are investigating a shooting that happened a short time ago on 10th Avenue SW, near the intersection of 14th Street SW.

Police say a juvenile was shot in his thigh just after 2 p.m.  This was in the 3800 block of 10th Avenue SW.  The area is a few blocks from Westlawn Middle School.

Police say the shooting happened in the road, possibly as the result of an argument.  Police say the crime isn’t associated with anyone who lives in the neighborhood.
