HUNTSVILLE, Ala.– Parents and guardians that pick up their children from Montview Elementary said there are a few people not following the rules when picking up their kids.

Some parents said they’re suppose to park and wait along Green Hill road, and wait for their children to come out. But some parents have decided to skip the line, making their own rules by parking and waiting on the other side of the school.

Parent Maurice Burton has parked in one of the “problems areas” for two years and said he’s never been told to move.

“I live right down the street and with all of the traffic, especially trying to take off work to get up here I don’t have 30 minutes to stand in line,” Burton said.

Kristine Wallace said the problem is escalating, because some people are starting to park in other areas beside the designated one.  Wallace said the school has taken some action, but she hasn’t see anything change.
