HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Even though fall began Thursday morning, fall-like temperatures are still several weeks away.

Afternoon temperatures have been hotter than 90 degrees for more than 20 days this month and Friday afternoon is no exception to that list.

Neither rain nor thunderstorms will be a factor for this week’s match-ups, but you will want to be prepared for it to feel as hot as if this were back in late August.

Temperatures will still be in the 90s for tailgaters, and some areas will still be near 90 for kickoff.

Expect a sharp drop in temperatures as soon as the sun goes down. Numbers will fall to around 82 degrees at halftime. Middle to upper 70s are expected for the final snap.
