HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - Got a suit that's a little too snug?
Maybe a cocktail dress stuck in the back of the closet?
The non-profit, H.O.P.E., hopes you'll donate them to area students through the Homecoming Dress and Suit Drive.
H.O.P.E. stands for Humans Optimizing Personal Empowerment.
Board chair Tammara Buckley says the drive is being organized to benefit Jemison High.
Students will have the opportunity to select clothes, shoes and accessories in a "boutique" that will be set up October 8th at the Dr. Richard Showers Recreation Center.
The main event for the drive is the big drop-off party at the Straight to Ale location at 3200 Leeman Ferry Road in Huntsville.
It's set for Friday, September 23rd at 7:30pm. There will be live music, a raffle, a bake sale and more.
If you can't make it out, there are donation bins set up at Jemison High, 5000 Pulaski Pike NW.
Bins are also located at Showers Center, 4600 Blue Spring Rd NW.
Some items to consider donating include:
- Dress socks
- Cocktail dresses
- Formal gowns
- Dress shirts
