Update: Etowah County Deputies capture a man believed to be armed and dangerous; wanted in connection to several robberies

ETOWAH COUNTY, Ala. – The Etowah County deputies have captured a man wanted in a robbery, according to Sheriff Todd Entrekin.

Investigators released a statement around 3:45 p.m. Saturday that they were searching for 50-year-old Kerry James Calhoun of Gadsden, a suspect in a first degree robbery. They reported he was believed to be armed, and dangerous.

Calhoun is a black male with brown eyes, no hair, 5’6″ and weighs approximately 215 pounds.

Allegedly he robbed a Kangaroo Express Station, Saturday and was driving a white, 2003 Chrysler PT Cruiser with a disabled veterans tag #V79213.

Authorities say that Calhoun is also a suspect in another robbery that occurred in Glencoe.

His bond has been set at $50,000.
