Decatur man arrested after burglary investigation; facing drug charges
DECATUR, Ala. – The Decatur Police Department responded to a call on Cedar Street, concerning a burglary in progress at an apartment complex.
When officers arrived they spoke with a group of people outside of the apartment complex and learned that one of the people had attempted to hide inside of an apartment prior to the police’s arrival at the scene,
Authorities later discovered that Anthony Murphee had entered an apartment and discarded a quantity of methamphetamine.
Murphee was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.
Anthony Murphee is now in the Morgan County Jail in lieu of a 2,500 bond.
