This weekend, the Tennessee Valley will be bathed in the moonlight of the Harvest Moon.

The term refers to the full moon that occurs near the autumn equinox, which will take place Thursday, September 22.

In the next few months, the full moon will be known as the Hunter’s Moon in October, the Beaver Moon in November, and the Cold Moon in December.
