Are you ready for this?! As of Monday, September 5 (Labor Day):
After Labor Day, we will quickly swing into the fall and winter months. While meteorological fall already began on September 1, astronomical fall will begin at 9:22 a.m. CDT on September 22.
Halloween is just shy of two months away, so better get that costume and that candy ready!
Remember to “fall back” and reset those clocks an hour slower before heading to bed on Saturday, November 5 because Daylight Saving Time ends at 2 a.m. Sunday, November 6. The bi-annual clock adjustment is a mere 63 days away.
Thanksgiving will occur on Thursday, November 24 this year — just shy of 3 months from now.
The Winter Solstice takes place on December 21 at 4:44 a.m. CST, or in 108 days.
Might as well save up now for Christmas and the holiday season, in general. It’s only 111 days away, or just over 15 weeks from now.
Hanukkah begins on December 24 (110 days from now) and lasts until January 1, 2017.
Which brings us to our final countdown: There are only 118 days left in 2016 before we ring in New Years Day 2017.
