Shooting in Huntsville sends two to the hospital

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - A shooting just after midnight sent two people to the hospital. Emergency crews were called to the 4300 block of Baywood Drive in Huntsville to check out a report of two people being shot.

The victims tell investigators they were sitting in their truck near the intersection of Andros Drive and Triana Boulevard when a man approached them. They say the man tried to rob them then started shooting. Both the driver ans passenger were shot in the shoulder.

The two drove around the corner and waited for police. Paramedics took them to Huntsville Hospital for treatment.

Officers with Huntsville Police blocked off the area for k-9 units to search for the shooter. Investigators have been given the first name of the person believed to be the shooter. So far, no arrests have been made.
