Home Instead Senior Care launches website to help bring wandering seniors safely home

HUNTSVILLE, AL-   "If a senior loved one starts to wander from the house, the family becomes very frightened. It can be very scary and many families go into panic mode and they don't know what to do," said Julie Smith with Home Instead Senior Care.

According to statistics, if not found within 24 hours, up to half of seniors who wander are at risk for harm. Now with the click of a button, you can help ensure your senior gets home safely. It's called the Missing Senior Network and it just launched by Home Instead Senior Care. It allows you to easily upload an alert about your missing senior. You can even add a photo and you select who the alert goes to.

"Family, friends, neighbors, even local businesses that you can alert immediately if your senior loved one goes missing. You can even send an alert on Facebook or the local authorities," said Smith.

Smith says if you're worried about your loved one wandering, you can contact the staff at Home Instead Senior Care.
