Dog owners celebrate National Dog Day by sharing pictures of their 4-legged friends

National Dog Day

It’s National Dog Day, a time to celebrate the dog in your life! Organizers don’t discriminate. They celebrate all breeds, pure and mixed.

The day is used to help bring attention to the number of dogs that need to be rescued each year, either from public shelters, rescues or pure breed rescues.

According to nationaldogday.com, the group is against any kind of “breed ban.” Meaning, they are against euthanizing dogs specifically because of their breed.

We encourage you to share your puppy pride with us by sharing your pictures with us. We will compile a photo gallery of those we receive through social media as well as through the WHNT News 19 app.
